For the Gophers, a lot is on the line in Lincoln.

The now luke-warm (as opposed to ice-cold) Golden Gophers start the last week of the Big Ten season on the road against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Game 7 non-review, Game 8 non-preview: The season at a cross roads

I’ll spare you the gory details of what has become a disturbing trend; Minnesota’s inability to close the door on a winnable game. I could throw statistic after statistic at you, try to determine the exact moment that things began to slip away, and bemoan what has become of a team that just last week seemed to be on the verge of making a major leap up the rankings, but I don’t want to write that and you don’t want to read it. It’s an educational decision that I feel will allow Trevor to learn from.” -Joel Maturi. Mr. Maturi, what lesson are you attempting to teach? “But credit Minnesota as an institution for taking a stand and not using the “innocent until proven guilty” card so many programs play in the spirit of winning at all costs.” -Gary Parrish. Liveblogging the Selection Show

Join us at 4:30 pm for a last second bubble breakdown, plenty of frayed nerves, and either depressed excuse making or jubilant celebration and travel advice.
