- Is this over yet?
- Will we actually see an all freshman/sophomore lineup for more than a few minutes?
- Is this truly the worst Gophers team EVER?
Indiana over Gophers, 80-65.
It is a dark time for Gopher basketball. Although Wisconsin has been destroyed, Big Ten opponents have driven Minnesota forces from their non-conference hiding spot and pursued them across the Midwest.
Evading anything close to a victory in the past calendar month, a group of freshman and sophomore basketball players led by Richard Pitino have established a foothold in the remote ice world of the conference basement. The evil lord Tom Crean, obsessed with destroying the fabric of of college basketball, has dispatched his team of thugs into the far reaches of Williams Arena….
Seriously, though. There’s not much to preview. The Gophers are terrible, they have a historically bad defense, and they rank near the bottom of the nation in field goal percentage. They can’t score, they can’t rebound and they can’t defend. Oh, and Indiana leads the conference in scoring per game (85.9 points), field-goal percentage (52.7) and three-point field-goal percentage (44.3).
Have fun with this one. Maybe we’ll see the future lineup play a few more minutes than they did against Nebraska.
