Off-season news and notes

Minnesota’s loss to Texas in the NCAA tournament not only ended the Gopher basketball season, it also ushered in the slow months at From The Barn. During the offseason, we will of course continue to update you on the latests goings on in the world of Gopher basketball.
After the NCAA tournament winds down, we’ll start our season own season review, including player-by-player breakdowns, a critique of Tubby Smith’s second season, and some of our favorite memories from the season. We will also take a look at the incoming recruits, the Gophers’ schedule as it is gradually announced, and if there are a sufficent number of cold and rainy weekends between now and October, a look back at some our favorite Gopher games from years past. We’ll even continue to keep you updated on whatever breaking news emerges before Tubby’s Tip-off in October. If there is anything else you’d like to see, let us know.
Over spring and summer we’ll also undertake a major re-design that will hopefully make this all a little more user-friendly. We’d let you know what the site will look like, but we’re not entirely sure if those plans will come to fruition. Needless to say, if it works, you will notice.
Since things will be a bit slower over the next few months, you are highly encouraged to subscribe to From The Barn. You’ll stay updated without having to check in daily. We’d appreciate if you do check in, but the spring and summer are short, and we wouldn’t want you to waste the best non-basketball months of the year.
Finally, a special thank you to all of you that read, commented, sent e-mails with ideas, and partcipated in our many live-blogs. You all contributed in some way, even if it was providing just enough motivation to keep us writing. It is much appreciated. This was easily the most successful season so far for From The Barn, and it wouldn’t have been possible without you. Again, thank you.
